Janitzio is a place where the worlds of the living and the dead meet, where one night a year this border is blurred. It is also a place of contrasts, where the society is crossed by drug traffic, even border poverty. Dead in life, alive in death. Life is hell here, death is a party. This is Janitzio, the contrast.
The purpose of this project was to create an identity without logos. What color does Janitzio have? What typography? How can I represent the soul of this place by images? I’ve created two posters, a bottle and his packaging, an editorial piece and a material for Janitzio.
